I am gathering data for a brief study through Portland Community College--Rock Creek on writing center tutor pay. A Writing Center Harvest

Let’s gather with our TYCA colleagues in Yakima in early fall and explore our work and our connections to our students and to each another. These (and more) are the harvest of our professional lives.

Oregon DDO I would like to thank Dennis Bennett and his staff for hosting our recent Director’s Day Out (DDO) at Oregon State University. I was delighted to meet writing center peeps from across the state of Oregon. The conversations were lively, and I came home refreshed, renewed, and grateful to be part of such a rich community. Thanks to Dennis for gracious hosting and organization. Special thanks to Jenny Dresler, who personally phoned directors to encourage attendance and Galina Romantsova who made the catering arrangements for the delicious snacks and lunch.

I'm attaching the annual report that the PNWCA provides to the International Writing Centers Association (IWCA).

On behalf of the board of the PNWCA I’m sorry to announce that our region will not host a conference this year. We still want to support (with a small stipend) writing center’s that wish to create a time and place for sharing and collaboration.
