A Writing Center Harvest
Let’s gather with our TYCA colleagues in Yakima in early fall and explore our work and our connections to our students and to each another. These (and more) are the harvest of our professional lives.
In agriculture, the noun “harvest” is usually associated with the cornucopia and with images of bounty. We should also remember that harvest is not just a noun; it is also a verb.
Let’s consider the term harvest, in all of its modalities, and relate it to the various contexts and topics relevant to our work with
- Our communities
- Multicultural/multilingual learners
- Our institutional partners
- Innovation and renewal
- Developmental writers, first-generation learners, and underprepared students
